So it's the laughter we will remember
Whenever we remember...
The way we were...
The way we were...

Did I Ever Tell You?

Did I ever tell you
That I loved you?
That though you were not my child of body,
You were my child of heart
And I would never forget you.

Did I ever tell you
That you forced me to laugh?
And in so doing, you laughed too,

And it was a joyous sound, and we were silly
And could forget our sorrows for a short time.

Did I ever tell you
That I was grateful you let me mother you?
And baby you, boss you and worry about you,
Good-naturedly you let me have my say
And knew I needed to feel that way.

Did I ever tell you
How much you meant to me?
Because I thought you needed me so much,
It kept me going day after day
Until I could begin to stand on my own.

Did I ever tell you
How much I loved you?
And when it came to that last day,
All I could say was “I love you”
As you gently slipped away.

For “My Jim” - I'll never forget you.

One summer, Ken worked for a temp. agency. One of his jobs was to advertise for the opening of new businesses. He really enjoyed this and was so successful that he was kept busy all that summer!

~ Ken's last Christmas gift to me, 1989 ~

I want to thank Billie and Brenda - for without their encouragement and help -
I wouldn't have continued with my " 1 page and 2 photos " idea. :) Also, to our wonderful daughter, Cam, who was my proof reader and took out most of my dashes - although I did manage to sneak a few back in !
Most of all to my Mac--for trying so very hard to get this "just right" and continually "fixing" it. Although you couldn't "fix" it for Ken--when he was so ill--you have honored him so much with your work on this website. Your love is here--on every page--with your photographs and the way you put it together. I asked Ken to be with us and to help us before we started this project. I know he was here as we remembered all the little stories as we looked through the pictures and smiled and even cried together.
Thank you to Ann, Jason's Mom, for her hours of help finding "my" music, and to countless others who passed our way and gave encouragement and help---thank you all !
